In this program of 6 nights / 7 days you will enjoy the variety of climates in Ecuador by experiencing a trip in coastal and highland regions.

Day 1:

Monday:
Airport transfer/ Hotel Accomodation

Day 2:
Tuesday:
Breakfast at the hotel.
Pick up from your hotel in the morning for a full day excursion to the Otavalo Market and surroundings (duration: 9 hours aprox) Excluding food
Day 3:

Wednesday:
Breakfast at the hotel.
Pick up from your hotel in the morning for a city tour around Quito, visit its historic center and the Equatorial Monument known as the Middle of the World (duration: 6 hours aprox).

Day 4:
Thursday:
Breakfast at the hotel
Pick up from your hotel in the morning, for an interesting tour through the Ecuadorian mountains, admiring the beautiful landscapes of the Avenue of the Volcanoes, ideal for photography. Followed by a brief visit to the Cotopaxi National Park, Lunch included. Arriving in the city of Riobamba, accommodation in a typical farm “hacienda” with dinner included
Day 5:

Friday:
Breakfast at the “hacienda”
Departure from the hacienda very early in the morning to take a tour by train to the Devil's Nose, a work of an engineering genius embedded in the Andes. (The path can be maximum of 07 hours), includes boxed lunch. Then land transportation to the city of Guayaquil, stopping on the way at cocoa, banana and a taca wood plantations. Then we will also pass through the small villages of Huigra, El Triunfo, Virgen de Fatima and the Duran village. Arrival and accommodation in Guayaquil.

Pick up from your hotel in the morning, for a Guayaquil city tour (duration: 4 hours aprox)

EXCURSION TO THE OTAVALO MARKET

OTAVALO MARKET

Departure from Quito via the “North Panamerican" Highway. Following by a brief stop at Calderon; little town where they produce the famous dolls made of masapan. Short stop at Guayllabamba where you can taste the" Chirimoya" typical fruit , sightseeing point on the road to Cayambe to admire and take pictures of the beautiful landscape valleys and mountains which surround this area, crossing the Ecuadorian line in Cayambe, passing by Guachala (ex monument in the middle of the World), before arriving at Otavalo short stop at Mira Lago (Sightseeing place in San Pablo) to photograph the San Pablo Lake and its wonderful area, keep going to Otavalo where the Indigenous "Otavalos" develop their handicraft and weavings.

Followed by the visit of the Otavalo Market, where artisans exhibit their handicrafts. Continue to Cotacachi, a well known place for its leather shops. Return to Quito passing by “Cajas” - Tabacundo.

VISIT TO THE CITY OF QUITO AND MIDDLE OF THE WORLD

THE CITY OF QUITO AND MIDDLE OF THE WORLD

City tour and first stop at the Basilica Church, brief explanation. Continue to the colonial district of the “Plaza de la Independencia”, visit and take a walking tour to the Cathedral church, Government and Archbishop Palace, the Church of the Company where you can appreciate its adornments and gold altars, the tabernacle. Visit of the San Francisco Church which has been built in the seventeenth century (tickets not included) continue our trip to the “Mirador del Panecillo” a viewpoint renowned for its location that allows one to admire a beautiful landscape of colonial and modern Quito from above the hill.

Continue to the ”Middle of the World "(includes entry) where you will visit the monument that divides the northern & southern hemispheres built in the XVII century when a French Expedition defined the precise location of the line that divides the world. Possible visit of the Ethnographic Museum (entry not included).

You will finally have the option to go to the Quito TelefériQo, a cable car adventure to a platform of 4100 meters high to enjoy the incredible view of the city. (Does not include ticket), in this case the passengers return to the hotel at his/her own expense; Shuttle buses or taxies available to the majors hotels.

Volcán Cotopaxi

Volcán Cotopaxi

El volcán Cotopaxi, ubicado a 50 km al sur de Quito, es uno de los volcanes más activos y altos (5.897 metros) del mundo.
El Parque Nacional Cotopaxi cuenta con un edificio de administración, un museo, un refugio para escaladores, y diversas áreas para acampar, como es la de la laguna de Limpiopungo.
En el interior del parque existe una gran plantación de pino de aproximadamente 1750 hectáreas, que se ha adaptado y creado micro hábitat diferentes, ocasionando cambios en la dinámica del páramo. Entre la flora que podemos encontrar dentro del parque se destacan algunas especies como el pumamaqui, gencianas, capulí, licopodios, mortiño, valeriana, pino, orejas de conejo, romerillo, entre otras.
También hay una gran variedad de fauna, en los bosques y páramos habitan los cóndores, gaviotas andinas, lechuzas, búhos, patos de pico azul, perdiz de páramo, colibríes y palomas. Y están los mamíferos como el puma, venados de cola blanca, zorrillos, osos, gacelas, conejos, zorros, entre otras especies. Dentro del parque podrán encontrar senderos para recorrer, lugares para acampar además de servicios básicos para los turistas.

Recorrido en tren por la famosa ruta de la Nariz del Diablo (Alausí - Sibambe - Alausí)

Una banda de pueblo da la bienvenida a los pasajeros en la estación de Alausí, mientras el silbido de la locomotora electrodiésel es el anuncio de partida desde esta estación hacia la Nariz del Diablo.
Al término de 45 minutos de recorrido, los visitantes arriban a la estación de Sibambe, lugar en el cual se pueden apreciar demostraciones culturales, artesanales y gastronómicas, pertenecientes a las zonas de Nizag y Tolte. Luego de una hora dentro de la estación de Sibambe el tren toma su camino de regreso hasta Alausí.
Durante el recorrido podemos experimentar un paisaje único e incomparable donde el tren va siguiendo una ruta que se mueve a través de las montañas.
Nota: La estación de Alausí se encuentra a aproximadamente 2 horas de camino desde Riobamba.

VISIT TO THE CITY OF GUAYAQUIL

CITY OF GUAYAQUIL

City tour through the main streets and avenues of the city; visit the Simón Bolívar park, El Malecón 2000, piers and the memorial statue of Bolivar and San Martin. Visit the Colonial district of “Las Peñas” where you can admire the wooden architecture and its art gallery houses, as well as appreciate the Guayaquil panoramic view and the Guayas River from the Santa Ana Port.
